Hera Pheri fans would be delighted to know that several reports suggest the trio, Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty and Paresh Rawal are back for the franchise’s third instalment. Filmmaker Priyadarshan had previously confirmed that the franchise will return in 2026. However, he had noted that he was planning on writing the movie sometime next year.

Now, reports suggest that first scene of the film, starring the original cast, has been filmed today. According to Hindustan Times, shooting the first scene with Akshay, Suniel and Paresh was a success. The cast will apparently “bring back the memories of their iconic roles.” Fans took to social media to express their enthusiasm over the movie. While some cannot wait for the star cast to return, others are eagerly waiting for the details of the plot to unravel.

Speaking about the movie, Priyadarshan had earlier noted, “It is going to be very challenging to make the third part because there will be too many expectations. Characters have gotten older and accordingly people should believe…these are important things. He further shared, “We always say that it is easy to make people cry, it is easy to scare people but to make them laugh is very difficult and that too without using double entendre dialogues ..you have to make humour so pure and identifiable.” I am taking it as a challenge. Let’s see how it works.” For those unaware, Hera Pheri released in 2000, while Phir Hera Pheri released in 2006.
